National Poomse Seminar (Sept. 29, 2010)
TKDNB would like to extend a sincere thank you to Grand Master Won Kap Chung and Grand Master Jay Park for putting on a very successful Poomse seminar this past weekend. There was an excellent turn out for this event from numerous schools from around our province. The feedback from this seminar was nothing but positive. All participants thoroughly enjoyed their time at the event and took back plenty of knowledge to share with others. The completion of this seminar will help TKDNB standardize poomse within the province and increase the level of competition. As well, we now have several new black belts that are certified to judge poomse in accordance to the WTF Standardized Rules. This new format of judging will be used at the upcoming TKDNB Provincial Games. We want to increase the level of competition with poomse and we hope this new format will promote that.  The new judges will help standardize the way poomse is judged and increase the fairness of competition. All those wishing to participate in individual poomse, pairs and/or team are encouraged to sign up and compete under the same format used at the National events. Again a great deal of thanks to Master Chung and Park for the time and effort they put in to help our province grow.
